Contact Form 7 Storage is a plugin that saves all Contact Form 7 submissions, including attachments, in your WordPress database. This ensures that all contact form entries and business leads are securely stored, even if email notifications are lost or deleted. The latest version 2.1.3 includes a fix for replacing uploaded file URLs in confirmation emails.

While this plugin does not guarantee GDPR compliance, it provides functionality to assist with it. You can easily delete form entry data, meta information, and uploaded attachments. Additionally, you can disable the storage of user IP addresses and browser information.

The plugin is developed and maintained by Kaspars Dambis, a WordPress core contributor and professional developer since 2007. Support requests are handled by the plugin author.

Key Features:
– All form submissions are stored in the WordPress backend and sent via email.
– Export form submissions as CSV files for use in Excel. You can export all submissions or select specific entries based on date and form filters. The export includes links to entry attachments.
– Each entry stores details such as input field values, attachments, time and date of submission, recipient email address, subject line of the email, submission URL, IP address, browser and device information. You can choose to disable storing IP address and device information.
– The plugin supports automatic updates through the Envato Market plugin.

For enhanced functionality, you can also install the companion plugin Contact Form 7 Controls for free.

To install the plugin, go to “Plugins → Add New” in your WordPress dashboard, select the “Upload” tab, choose the cf7-storage.zip file, and click “Upload.” Be sure to activate the plugin after it has been uploaded.

The plugin adds a new “Entries” section under the “Contact” menu in your WordPress dashboard. This section displays all contact form submissions in reverse chronological order. You can use dropdown selectors for easy filtering and sorting of entries. The plugin also provides the ability to export entries as CSV files, and you can search for specific entries using free form text search. The notification emails can include the file attachment shortcode [file-field] which automatically generates a link to the uploaded file.

The plugin requires the Contact Form 7 plugin and is tested up to WordPress 6.0. It requires at least WordPress 3.2 and PHP 5.6.20.
